Odhner died in 1905, but his son continued the business at the Russian plant until the revolution, when he fled to Sweden. A new company was formed there in 1920, and still operates today as Facit.

These very light, practical hand crank machines were exceedingly popular, and are still in use today.

The last major developments in commercial calculating machines came from America and France. A machine that would perform multiplication simply had not yet been built.
