JACK ST. CLAIR KILBY

Inventor of the Integrated Circuit 

Bio:

Jack St. Clair Kilby is best known for his 1958 development of the integrated circuit -- a single board with two transistors on it -- which he created at Texas Instruments. But he was also leader of the team that built the first ever hand-held electronic calculator in 1967.
